Hosting On Your Pc VS 3rd Party Hosting Provider
Hosting On Your Pc
Hosting the server on your own pc has several pros and several cons.
Pros:
Easy to setup; Extract the server and run them instantly with one click.
Free; Hosting on your computer is completely free for as long as you want.
Cons:
Your servers will only be running as long as your pc is switched on.
You would have to port forward your Minecraft server (Only once) to make other connect to your server. Or you can just use a third-party IP forwarder such as playit.gg that redirects players from their cloud to your pc. This is not a con as such, but you can skip this by using a third-party hosting provider
Hosting On A Third Party Hosting Provider
Hosting on a third-party provider has its own pros and cons.
Pros:
Your server is online 24/7.
Your players can instantly connect as soon as your server is setuped.
Cons:
It's pretty hard setting up everything up. (You would have to upload setup data, set server versions, java versions, modify startup parameters, linkup everything with bungeecord, edit menus etc.) OR you can buy the installation addon, if you want us to setup your servers and skip this hassle.
Paid; You would have to pay a monthly subscription to the Hoster for hosting your servers.
